This notice covers this website. It does not cover Mailwerk the product: what a customer's email service processes on their behalf is governed by their contract and data processing agreement, not by this page.

What this site does not do

• No cookies and no local storage of any kind.
• No analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
• No third-party requests: no fonts, scripts, embeds or content delivery network.
• No forms, no sign-up, no newsletter — nothing here can collect your data.

Server logs

Our web server records each request: the truncated IP address, the time, the requested path, the HTTP status, the referrer and the user agent. This is necessary to operate the site securely and to investigate faults and abuse — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a working, secure service. Log entries are deleted after seven days and are never used to profile a visitor or combined with other data.

The site is served from a virtual server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, behind Cloudflare, Inc. as a reverse proxy and TLS terminator. Both act as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare may process the same request metadata in order to route and protect the connection.

Email

If you write to hello@mailwerk.io, we process your address and message to answer you — Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We keep such correspondence only as long as it is needed, and delete it when the matter is closed unless a statutory retention period applies.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest — Art. 15 to 21 GDPR. Write to the address above. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; ours is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Changes

If this site ever gains a form, an analytics tool or anything else that processes personal data, this notice changes first. Last updated 20 September 2026.
